Please be kindly reminded about the ISTA Virtual Student Open Day.
Each year, the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) opens its doors to give prospective PhD and internship candidates an insight into what it is like to study and do research at the institute. The 2022 Open Day event will be held online on November 24, 2022.
Live sessions
The Virtual Open Day will be a great opportunity to explore our programs and campus virtually, wherever you are. The program includes a range of live sessions from the Graduate School Office, academics and students. You can find out about the PhD program, the ISTA research experience, the support services, the ISTA campus, and much more by attending one of the talks.

Presentation of ISTA Study Tracks (one live session per study track)
- Computer Science, 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm, CET, Vienna time
- Physics, 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm, CET, Vienna time
- Mathematics, 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm, CET, Vienna time
- Neuroscience, 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm, CET, Vienna time

ISTA is looking for highly qualified candidates with a BSc or MSc degree in Biology, Neuroscience, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry & Materials, Physics, Data Science & Scientific Computing and related areas to apply for our PhD and internship programs.
