1. The theme of the 2023 International Day of Mathematics, ‘’Mathematics for Everyone’’, is now announced on the website: https://www.idm314. org/
2. If you go to the bottom of the page, you will see that we already announce that there will be a challenge.
The challenge (most probably a comic) will be announced later this fall
3. The main reason that we are now contacting you is that we are ollecting projects of Math Outreach for ‘’Everyone’’:
We are looking for non-profits, NGOs, and individuals that work at helping mathematics reach underserved, marginalized, or vulnerable populations or at bridging gaps of sex, age, ethnicity, location, social group (or others) anywhere in the world, whether they provide formal education, outreach, or any sort of activity that connects people to mathematics.
Ahead of the next IDM celebration (on March 14, 2023), we want to have a special feature on the official website showcasing individuals and organizations that actively work in helping mathematics reach “everyone.” If you are aware of any such project, please let us know at info@idm314.org. Also, we would appreciate an introduction or contact information for anyone involved that we could contact.
The same call is sent on the IDM social media.
4. Don’t forget that your role as Ambassador is to spread the IDM in your local community and invite schools and other members of the community to celebrate and to announce the celebrations on the IDM website. And we are always looking for more IDM Ambassadors in the different countries.
